I dedicated more than 20 years to healthcare, specifically in Imaging Informatics and process automation.
I began my career in healthcare technology in the United States with Loral Corporation, where I provided support and development for new technology currently known as PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication Systems). Loral was awarded by the federal government with the MDIS contract. I had an opportunity to join the Mayo Clinic in 1997, as a systems development manager. I provided leadership and guidance over the radiology image storage and distribution strategies. I was also responsible for the operation of Imaging Informatics. In 2008, I joined the Lahey Clinic in Boston where I led the efforts to align the imaging informatics initiatives and deploy a unified image archiving solution to improve the accessibility and reliability of medical data for all clinical disciplines. I am passionate about healthcare technology solutions and our ability to improve the efficiency of care providers. I also had an opportunity to be Vice President of product management and customer consulting for Peake Healthcare Innovations. I had an opportunity to build the Enterprise Imaging Department for Stanford and was responsible for all aspects of the imaging portfolio. It was a privilege to be a part of the leadership team at the Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA). Had an opportunity to transform the Diagnostic Imaging Department from five independently functioning hospitals with five stand-alone PACS into a state-of-the-art Enterprise PACS system that enables the ability to create a virtual department of Radiology. At CTCA I implemented an Enterprise Radiation Treatment system, Laboratory systems, and other enterprise systems to support the operations of the clinical practice. My latest endeavor was with Envision Healthcare where I was the CEO of the BRIT company, and I was responsible for overall company performance.
When I'm not working, I really love to read, listen to classical music and play computer games. When the weather is nice, I like to hike, indulging in my passion for nature photography.
